Welcome
For most of us, Reality dictates that the car registers empty unless Someone fills it up. the chicken fillets require Someone’s attention to turn them into dinner, and Someone needs to pay the bills.
Inside every responsible, reliable Someone is a Someone Else.
Someone Else puts black pepper on their icecream, refuses to wear grey and feels sad for the pretty weeds when they have to be pulled out.
Someone thrives on the order, security and humdrum of the Real world, but Someone Else revels in mess, spontaneity and surprise.
My jewellery, with its cast elements, represents that duality which is my life, the conservative and the creative.
It works with a business suit, because Someone demands that it
a) Matches and is
b) Uncomplicated
It works with the parsnip print pants because Someone Else demands that it be striking and audacious.
We are, in varying amounts, Someone and Someone Else all of the time.
My jewellery, like an ever-present mantra says ‘This Someone has got it all together’ but ‘This Someone Else can relax enough to forget where they put it!’
I believe jewellery is a passionate and visual expression of all that we are, and all that we aspire to be.
